Content Strategie
– die Idee

Die Idee, ausschließlich Inhalte für das Web zu erstellen entstand wie nebenbei aus der jahrelangen Erfahrung mit der Produktion von Websites. Nur allzuoft hört man dabei Sätze wie „der Text wird gemacht, wenn das Design/Redesign steht“, „lassen Sie uns das online stellen, unsere Mitarbeiter hacken den Text dann rein“ oder „sehen sie, hier ist meine Skizze mit allen Seiten: Produkte, About, und ach ja Kontakt brauchen wir noch“.

Doch wie soll man funktional gestalten, wenn man die Botschaft nicht kennt? Inhalt und die Art, wie er vermittelt wird, hängen direkt zusammen! Oft wurde die Zeit zu kurz um Inhalte zu erstellen. Oder der Webdesigner übersah einige Vorlagen für spezielle Seiten, die erst später dazukamen. Es finden sich keine Mitarbeiter, die schreiben konnten. Der Texter hat noch nie etwas von SEO und Keywords gehört. Und und und …

Manchmal war es die einzige Motivation eines Unternehmens, ein Content Management System wie Joomla, Typo3 oder Drupal zu verwenden, um die Inhalte dann selbst einpflegen zu können. Ich kenne nur wenige Fälle, in denen das auch funktioniert hat. Es entstehen dabei bisweilen Textwüsten, die kein Mensch – und schon gar nocht Ihre Kunden!, – lesen will und die auch niemandem weiterhelfen.

Wir haben stets anders gearbeitet. Zuerst die grundsätzlichen Überlegungen angestellt, dann Inhalte geschaffen, dann das Design erstellt. Daher bemerkten wir auch zuerst gar nicht, dass wir auf eine neue Spezialiserung gestoßen sind.

Inhalte waren (und sind immer noch) ein echtes Stiefkind. Keiner will sich wirklich darum kümmern. Der Werbeagentur ist der Job zu klein, die Zielgruppe zu popelig. Die Internetagentur möchte mit einer tollen Flash-Website einen Preis gewinnen und beschäftigt gar keine Web-Texter. Und die Marketing-Assisitentin hat neben ihrem Job keine Zeit mehr, auch noch Texte zuschreiben.

Dabei kann „das Internet“ ein starkes, zielgerichtetes und funktionales Medium mit großer Einschlagskraft sein. Voraussetzung dafür ist aber letztendlich die Content Strategie, die man zu Beginn erstellt.
